Who we are
ShePlayz FZ, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, runs sheplayz.com and The Insider. We decide how your data is used, and we handle it under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, for visitors in the UK and EU, the UK and EU GDPR.
The newsletter
When you subscribe, we store your email address and the region you optionally tell us with beehiiv, our newsletter provider, so we can send you The Insider. We rely on your consent, which you give with the tick box. You can unsubscribe from any issue. We never sell your email.
Where your sign-up came from
So we can understand which channels and regions bring our readers, we record the source of each sign-up, for example the campaign or link you arrived from (UTM parameters) and the page that referred you. This is stored with your subscription and is not sold.
Your All-Star account
If you become an All-Star, your account saves what you follow, what you save and the reminders you set. That is how the service works. Including your activity, never your name or email, in anonymous audience reports for brands and partners is a separate choice, off unless you turn it on.
Measurement and advertising cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to measure visits and the performance of our ads. They load only after you accept in the cookie banner, and you can decline or change your mind with . When you subscribe and have accepted, we also send the sign-up to Meta from our server, matched to the same event so it is counted once, with your email hashed.
Our own activity data
We keep first-party records of how people use ShePlayz, by sport, region and surface, in our own store. They are used for our own audience reporting.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare (hosting), beehiiv (newsletter), Google (analytics, only with consent) and Meta (ad measurement, only with consent). Some of these process data outside the UAE, under contractual safeguards.
Your choices
- Decline measurement and advertising cookies.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, through the contact page.
